The DAIM allows the collection of performance measurement data on various measurement generation layers of a base station (e.g. Layer 1, RLC layer, HSDPA scheduler).
On the user-defined DAIM GUI the collected data are displayed (either in real live or via replaying the collected measurement data) and an underlying expert system is used to correlate these.
The offline analysis option of DAIM is used to identify the root cause of issues occurring in all stages of testing, up to and including investigation of field problems – which is one of the most difficult and costly activities for network operators and equipment suppliers.
The Nash Technologies DAIM is split into a DAIM GUI which runs on a commercial PC and a DAIM data collector which runs on the target system. The DAIM data collector interacts on the PC end with the DAIM GUI and on the target side with the measurement probe of the target system. The use of XML supports easy adaptation on the DAIM interface in case of changes in the measurement probes. The Nash Technologies DAIM is integrated into the Nash Technologies TestCell.

Capabilities

  • Real time tracing of cell-and-call-specific measurement data (standard defined or implementation specific) such as cell-related data, call-related data and UE-related information (e.g. cell throughput, TPC bits, E-DCH grants, happy bits)
  • Storage of measurement data for offline analysis
  • Export measurement data to other formats for further post-processing (e.g. ASCII, CSV)
