Protocol Description
NPT employs protocol modules for easy test case creation and extention. Both standard and proprietary protocols can be included. The protocol modules can be created from standard protocol descriptions. Examples are

Product and Service Description
Test Case Creation
Test cases for NPT are written in Perl, a well-known script language. This allows a fast start with NPT as no proprietary scripting language needs to be learned by the user. It further facilitates re-use and batching of test cases to generate more complex scenarios and automated regression test suites.
